What we have in mind is breakfast in bed for 400,000!" He was at Woodstock as a member of an entertainment/activist commune known as the Hog Farm. Naturescaping with Beth Young & Be Natural Music School of Santa Cruz

Ruth Copland talks to Beth Young of Beth Young Garden Design about how to be environmentally conscious with our gardening whilst creating beautiful spaces for ourselves.

Beth has a great book out called The Naturescaping Workbook: A Step-by-Step Guide for Bringing Nature to Your Backyard (Timber Press, 2011) which teaches the homeowner how to create a very satisfying home landscape by working with nature's awesome powers, eliminating the need for synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and excessive watering. Much of modern garden design is about controlling nature to achieve a desired effect. But for the eco-conscious homeowner, the best garden designer is Mother Nature, and following her lead can result in a beautiful low-maintenance landscape that requires fewer resources, attracts natural wildlife, and saves time and money.

In the second hour Ruth Copland talks to Matt Pinck of the Be Natural Music School of Santa Cruz and also interviews teen bands from the school. As well as learning an instrument, students have the option to join a band and experience what it means to work with other musicians.

On the show are Slime (10-11 year olds) with band member SXaltokan "X-Man" Granados on vocals and keyboard in the studio; 3-Hole Punch (12-13 year olds) with band members Isabella Edge and JP Thrasher on lead guitar in the studio; and Walkaway Raven (12-16 year olds) with band members Morgaine White on vocals and acoustic guitar and Hannah Manabe on lead guitar in the studio. Be Natural Music School has a benefit to fund scholarships on April 16th at Don Quixote's in Felton.
